The front of a card that I painted for the middle school art teacher I was shadowing for a Ed Psych practicum. He had all these awesome elephant sculptures around his room and was pretty neat-o. I'm sort of sad I've completed the 20 hours I needed and won't be going back... although he did say I could visit.

It looks like competent comic illustration. I'm very impressed.
I had a friend in high school who went to art school afterward. After three years, he decided he didn't need any more instruction, and split for The Big Apple, where he worked his way into comic illustration.
Today he is very successful and very well-off financially, but at the time, his art-school profs.told him he was making a terrible mistake, and that he would come crawling back.. Haha.
He used to illustrate the sort of thing you have here all the time. You see, practice makes perfect, and you're on your way.
